Slam-A-Lama-Ding-Dong! UPDATE

Hello Whammers, Bammers, and Thank You Slammers!

As the festival approaches, Uncle Slam and the Baby Heads are getting very excited about the upcoming Semi-Final round of Slam-A-Lama-Ding-Dong!

In case you don't know, Slam-A-Lama-Ding-Dong is a fully-memorized, theatrically performed poetry slam, featuring poets representing a wide variety of styles.  The poets will be performing for the each other, for the judges, and especially for YOU, the public.  It's totally free, and is gonna be awesome. Save the date.

Now, we realize that we Heads have an unfair advantage, being on the planning committee and all.  So, to allow you all to get as excited as we are, we will be sharing some of the awesome entry videos we've received.  All the poets featured here will be advancing to the Semi-Final Round.
Congratulations, everyone!

Alex Gomez - 'Dictator'

Hope you enjoyed this as much as we did.  Check out Alex and the rest of the Semi-Finalists in the basement of Back to the Grind at 2 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2013.  It's FREE!

Ps. Check back for more details about the competition, including more Semi-Finalist sneak peeks, the announcement of the 3rd place, 2nd place, and Grand Slammer prizes, and the revealing of the identities of our illustrious judging panel!

Digitalism is a part of everyday experience. We are now wired together to a degree never imagined possible. The increasing speed of technological sophistication has made powerful devices available to even the most common person. Today, due simply to the availability and affordability of the necessary tools, more people are making music and art than ever before. In fact, the average consumer can easily download MIDI software to replicate high-end analog instruments for a tiny fraction of the costs, financial and otherwise.

Calling All Record Vendors

The Inland Empire Record Collective is still accepting record vendors and booth sign ups.

Interested parties should email beaziebeats@gmail.com

Sign Ups Are Now Closed!

No Need To Be Upset Meme by Jackson

We held on as long as we could! Unfortunately, the time has come to close the sign up process and move on to the next step. Coordinators are now in the process of sending out acceptance letters, so keep an eye on your email and please follow the instructions thoroughly.

There are lots of great people in the Inland Empire and we would love to be able to accept all submissions for inclusion, but due to the nature of hosting a DIY festival, it is impossible to accommodate all participant submissions. We are also hoping that some of the energy from Saturation will continue after the festival so that great events can happen year-round in the Inland Empire.

Saturation Fest is always in need of volunteers! Volunteers are needed to help set up and clean up events during the festival. Volunteers will also help direct people around the festival and assist event organizers. If you are interested in doing a service to your community please click the link below to apply.

If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to email, contact us through Facebook or the Saturation website, keeping in mind that we are all volunteers and will do our best to respond when possible. You can also join the conversation on our Facebook page. Thank you once again for your interest.
